ABOUT

InveStimulation (fully titled Cross-Border Investment Stimulation Programme by Setting-Up a Net-Structure Based on the Pilot-Project) is a project developed by the Međimurje Regional Development Agency - REDEA which started in December 2007 after a successful tender to the invitation of the EU’s cross-border cooperation programme under the priority of “Socio-Economic Cohesion and Human Resource Development” and measure titled “Common Economic Space”.

Project is focused on the cooperative promotion of investment possibilities in the border region, Međimurje County and Zala County in Hungary. The purpose of the project is to investigate investment possibilities in this region and develop a promotional package based on the findings which could aid potential investors in decision-making regarding their business activities in this region.

This is a cooperative project, implemented in partnership with the Zala County Development Agency. Both partners have conducted similar activities (each in their own county) and prepared similar promotional packages, notwithstanding the fact that the project was officially completed in Hungary in January 2008.

The Project Budget amounts to 104.469.76 EUR, 75% of which is financed under the PHARE 2006 programme.

The planned date of completion of all project activities is the end of August 2008. However, promotional package prepared in the meantime will be used in the following period as part of the REDEA-s promotional activities concerning investment in Međimurje.
